What We Offer
Be Stronger for Longer can support you to remain active and live life to the full as you age.

Cath provides safe and effective resistance, balance & coordination, and cardiovascular training in a social and FUN environment.

Multiple classes per week are offered with low to moderate, and higher intensity options available.

Small group & personal training are also available.
Classes include exercises recommended by leading evidence based organisations related to healthy aging such as:

About Cath
Be Stronger for Longer is owned and operated by Cath Nankervis.

Cath has a wealth of experience developed over time as a Podiatrist, PDHPE teacher, Personal Trainer, and Strength & Conditioning Coach.

She is passionate about supporting people to remain active, independent and in great physical condition as they age so they can live active, happy and adventure filled lives.


Level 1-2 Group Class - Low intensity

Gentle exercises and movements designed to improve your strength, balance, and coordination. Low level cardio with modifications available for all abilities. A combination of seated and standing exercises.

Level 2/3 Guided Circuit Class - Low-moderate intensity

Focuses on building strength, enhancing balance and coordination, and improving cardiovascular fitness to maintain an active lifestyle. Includes a group warm up with balance & coordination exercises & games, followed by a guided strength circuit enabling participants to work at their own level.

Level 3 plus - Moderate to high intensity

A circuit based class focussed on improving strength. Suitable for those who already do some physical activity. This class includes slightly more challenging exercises and/ or resistance. It will help improve strength and stability for daily life and leisure activities.

Small Group Training ​
Great for: 

  • More individual attention to technique & managing injuries
  • Starting strength training 
  • Extend yourself with more challenging resistance and equipment
  • Training for an active holiday or event

Personal Training
Personal training is all about YOU! It involves assessing your current movement capabilities and supporting you to meet your movement goals.

Personal training is for you if:
-You prefer not to train in a group environment or would like to build some confidence before joining a group.
-You have a specific goal or outcome you are training for such as a walking or cycling holiday or general longevity.
- You like variety and a program tailored to your needs.
- You want support to develop your muscle mass & cardiovascular fitness for a long healthy life.

Sessions are held in a private studio gym, in your own home or online. Train with a friend or on your own.
